weather 2/14/12

The snowfall total from yesterday's event was 1.1 inches. Today's forecast and into tonight calls for cloudy skies with temperature hovering around 30 degrees and dropping to a low of 25 degrees. The chance of snow into tonight is still around 50% and snowfall totals for tonight are expected to reach .5 inches. Winds from the SSE at 10mph will be pumping up the moisture to fuel the snowfall event. Tomorrow, temperatures will rise into the upper 30's and a low pessure system and stationary front makes its way into the upper midwest. This system will provide the eau claire area with warm temperatures for the rest of the week and melt the fresh snow on the ground unfortunately.
